Let's Talk- Summer Plans

Happy Memorial Day! Today is the day that we honor our heroes that have fallen. I am so thankful for them on this day and everyday!
 
 
Today Erika, Andrea and I are talking all about are summer plans! I don't know about you but I am so ready for this summer to begin!
 
Blake and I have another trip planned to New York City! I could go on for days about how much I love this place but for your sake I won't. If you have ever thought about or wanted to go to NYC I highly recommend it, it's a great city!
 
 
A lot of days spent with this sweet guy traveling and exploring nature. Look at blue that sky is in the picture below!
 
 
 
I hope to spend time with my family as well and just to have the best summer yet!

Friday Favorites

Today I am linking up with Erika and Narci to share my Friday favorites with you!

ONE

Coconut oil has been a favorite of mine for a long time. It has so many different uses and is overall a versatile product. I use it as body lotion, facial cleanser, and even mixed in with a face mask. So if you ever try coconut oil I think you too, will become quite addicted!

TWO

 How gorgeous is the shot I captured. The picture doesn't do this any justice. It's amazing to see something as pretty as this after it was a rainy, stormy day.

THREE

That this weekend is a three day weekend, wahoo! I'm going to spend this Memorial Day with my family eating yummy food, and I hope you do too!

FOUR

That my family and I are going on vacation next week/weekend. I am so excited to spend time with them!

A Healthier Me

The past couple of months I have noticed that I am always tired and I don't have energy like I used to. A couple of years ago I was a runner. In the mornings I would get up and run and it would make me feel great first thing, and all through out the day. I have noticed after not being as active as I used to be that I am always lacking energy. There are two things to factor into me not having energy, one is that my diet has been horrible, I felt the need to give myself a treat multiple times a week. Number two is that I have not been active.

So today I have had enough with my low energy levels and I am going down the road towards a healthier me. I have been told since I was a little girl that everything in moderation is okay. What that means is if you want a treat (ice cream, brownies, chocolate, etc.) then you can have one just don't order the largest size you can order or eat the whole carton of ice cream.
 
 
Becoming a healthier me is all about eating the foods that my body wants and needs to survive. I don't need a huge cookie dough brownie (although some days I feel like I do!), the sugar will give me temporary energy and then I will crash. Our bodies need healthy nutrients that keep us going!

Hiking Adventures

On Saturday Blake and I went to a place called Jackson Falls. We hiked through the woods and walked up on a gorgeous waterfall.

As I was hiking through the woods and rock all I could think about was how amazing my Lord and Savior is. Just the beauty of everything in the woods was truly incredible. The way the rocks were shaped and all of the different colors they had on them blew me away.
 
 
  
 
I loved looking at all of the rocks. The moss on them was gorgeous!
 
 
We had a great weekend hiking and being reminded of how beautiful of a world we live in.

First Day Off- Summer Break 2016

Today is my first day off for Summer Break 2016! While being in school full-time and having a part-time job, my schedule can be jam packed. Needless to say I am very excited about my first day off while not having to go to school this summer! 

I get to spend all my time with my family, friends, and my boyfriend!
