4th of July Inspiration

Today I am sharing my fourth of July inspiration, since it is this weekend! It seems crazy that it is already time for July.

I talked about this dress here but I think it would be perfect for the fourth with some red and blue accessories. You can find this dress from Old Navy here.

These red sandals would add the perfect amount of holiday spirit. You can find these red sandals here. If you want to be festive you could add some blue accent jewelry and a red lip!

Here's to the upcoming 4th of July! Thanks for stopping by, see you soon!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!! I hope all of you had a great week. We're so close to the weekend :) Today I am sharing my Friday favorites and linking up with Andrea, Erika, and Narci.

ONE

This ice cream is amazing!! I have never really ate chocolate ice cream until I tried this one. It seriously is the best chocolate ice cream I have ever tried. We got this from Kroger but I have not checked to see if it's available anywhere else.

TWO

In case you missed it I wrote about my pool essentials!

THREE

Running shorts and a sports tee have been my go to on my days off!

Those are my Friday favorites! They are short and sweet today. I hope you have an amazing weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

Pool Essentials

Hey friends, it's hump day again! Today I am sharing my pool essentials for this summer. I am heading to the pool today because our heat index is supposed to be 105 degrees, ahh! There is not much you can do outside that doesn't involve water when it is that hot.

My first pool essential would be a hat! I am very adamant about protecting my face from the sun. We all know the harmful things the sun can do to our skin, so I try to protect my face especially!

My next pool essential would be a swimsuit. This one is kind of obvious but it's definitely an essential! I have been loving a classic black swimsuit.

My last pool essential would be a cover up! This is a maxi dress, I chose a dress because they are easy to slip on and slip off especially with a swimsuit. In all honesty most of the time I wear shorts and a t-shirt to the pool but I feel like I should start wearing more lightweight dresses for a cute effortless look at the pool.

I hope y'all are having a great week, and thanks for stopping by!

Wardrobe Wrap-Up

Happy Monday! I am sad to see the weekend go, but this week will be a great week!

First I am going to start off with this white dress that I bought at TJ Maxx about a year ago. It is ruffled around the edge and is the perfect length. My gold and tortoise watch is fossil, and I love it!

Here is another basic tee with shorts outfit! If you have been here before then you know that I am really loving this duo right now. These shorts are from Old Navy and they come in six different colors! The ones I am wearing are the 3.5 inch ones.

Here I am in a basic tee from Gap. I can hardly take myself serious when taking selfies lol!

I paired the tee from gap with my favorite Levi Jeans, and some cute flip flops!

I paired this Old Navy tee dress with my favorite strappy sandals that also happen to be from Old Navy! If you can't tell I love to shop at Old Navy and I bought this dress in a large because I did not want it to be fitted.

I hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by! Have a great Monday.

Friday Favorites

It's F R I D A Y! I can hardly believe it, I feel like yesterday I was posting last weeks Friday favorites! As usual I am linking up with Andrea, Erika, and Narci.

ONE

If you saw my wardrobe wrap up post then you know I have been loving shorts and a basic tee!

TWO

Summers in Kentucky are extremely humid so I have definitely been loving my AC. This week has consisted of a lot of yard work so when I would get super hot I would just go inside and think how thankful I am for this great invention!

THREE

Major throwback but one of my favorites is my dad! He is always one of my favorites but especially this weekend since it is Father's Day! My dad is such a caring, genuine, trust worthy, loving man and he needs to be honored everyday not just one day of the year!

FOUR

Dresses, dresses, and more dresses have been my go to! I love this crisp white dress, it feels like summer to me. And I got a couple of inches chopped off of my hair yesterday!

Those are my favorites for the week, I hope you enjoyed! Have a fun filled weekend and come back Monday for another Wardrobe Wrap-Up.

Perfect Summer Dress

Hey friends, guess what today is? Humppp Day! Today I am sharing the perfect chambray dress for summer! And if you're wondering who that pretty little lady is next to me that is my Nanny! As you can see I have on the dress that I am going to share with all of you.

Here is a full length shot of the dress! I'm telling y'all this dress is so light weight and soft that I think I could sleep in it. I have had this dress maybe a month and I have already worn it twice. It is a hi-lo type dress so it is shorter in the front and longer in the back (kind of like a mullet! ha). I don't know if I have ever had a dress that I felt more comfortable in than this one! I paired this dress with strappy sandals (with a slight wedge) that were camel colored. As you can see I added some earrings with a pop of color!

You can find the dress here (on sale!)

I am loving sharing my style with all of you, comment if there is anything specific you want to see!
I hope y'all are having a great week and have a great Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by, I hope to see you back soon!

Wardrobe Wrap-up

Happy Monday, friends! Today I am sharing what I have been wearing lately!

I have been loving all things floral lately! I love this popover and my bright colored bag. I wore this outfit for a casual day at work, on Saturday's we get to wear jeans!
Bag: Fossil
Top: Old Navy
Jeans: Levi's

I have been loving rompers lately. They are so effortless and easy, especially when you are in a hurry but still need to look cute! The only bad thing about rompers are when you have to go to the bathroom, you have to completely undress! I wore this when we went to Savannah. I purchased this at Old Navy.

I have been living in shorts and a basic tee! It is so easy to style and with the hot weather we have been having it has been the perfect outfit to wear!
Tee: JCPenney
Shorts: JCPenney

I have also been wearing shorts and cute blouses. I wore this look while we were in Georgia. Sorry this is a tad blurry, I almost forgot to snap a picture of my outfit and I took this in a hurry.
Blouse: It used to be my grandmas and she gave it to me!
Shorts: JCPenney

And finally I have been wearing dresses and wedges! Dresses are like rompers effortless and easy to style and very comfortable. I wore this look to work and to church.
Dress: Local store in Kentucky

My natural hair is my go-to everyday! It is so simple and that is what I look for in all my routines. My make-up routine, hair routine, and my outfit routine are all so simple!

I have been loving my pearls, they go so great with anything.

I hope y'all enjoyed my wardrobe wrap-up! Have a great Monday!

Friday Favorites

Today I am linking up with AndreaErika, and Narci for Friday Favorites! I hope all of you had a great week and are preparing for the weekend!

ONE

Me and my sweet momma!

My first favorite would have to be the trip my family and me took last week! We had an incredible time. You can see all about it here and here.

TWO

The gorgeous weather we have been having in Kentucky. Although it is supposed to be pretty hot this weekend the weather could not be any better. So my sister and I have been eating lots of snow cones!

THREE

I never shared this in the Georgia posts but one day we went to the beach and it was an absolute dream! That day was just perfect, there was a nice breeze by the ocean and the water felt amazing. Couldn't ask for a better beach day.

FOUR

My Burt's Bees lip balm has been a favorite of mine for a long time but definitely this week! My lips have been so dry lately and this has helped them out so much, thank you Burt's Bees for making a great product!

I hope all of you have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Georgia {Part Two}

Today I am sharing the rest of my trip to Georgia!

Today I'm talking all about our day in Savannah! For those of you that don't know Savannah is the oldest city in Georgia dating back to 1733. When we got to Savannah it was extremely hot. So hot that we decided to take a trolley tour so we could still see the city but not get wayyy to hot. Good thing we did because shortly after we got on the trolley it started raining!

The dome on top of this building in Savannah is a replica of the dome on top of Atlanta's capital building.

This was at the city market. There are all kinds of shops with food and candy. There were also benches and tables outside that you can sit at! It is a really cool spot. This brings you to my next picture THE GREAT WALL OF CANDY!

How incredible is that? I was in candy heaven. This was the Savannah Candy Kitchen. I know I did a post of becoming a healthier me but on vacation I tend to splurge. There were so many choices and if any of you know me then you know that I am not the best at making choices! They had ice cream, free praline samples as you walk-in, and they also had taffy being twisted and packaged. Bonus they also took some of the taffy off the machine and would throw it to you!

The Waving Girl is a statue of a woman that for 44 years would wave a handkerchief by day and a lantern by night for all of the ships that came in and out of Savannah.

There are so many things that you can do in Savannah. From ghost tours to trolley rides to just eating good food! If you're wanting to see a city with tons of history and being just plain beautiful then Savannah is the city for you! I hope you enjoyed this trip recap.
I hope to see you back soon!

Georgia {Part One}

It feels great to be back! Today I am talking all about my trip to Georgia! This is part one of two!

P.S. I am still trying to work on the design of the blog, it is just taking longer than expected to work the kinks out!

On our trip to Georgia we stayed in a small town called Saint Mary's. We walked around the quaint town and enjoyed all that it had to offer. They had a really cool little store called "Market on the Square" and it had everything that you could imagine. T-shirts, coffee, gifts, ice cream, etc. My FAVORITE thing had to be the fudge! They had tons of different flavors that it was hard to decide on only one, so I got two (after a few samples!). I got red velvet (who knew there was red velvet fudge? NOT ME but it was amazing), and death by chocolate. The death by chocolate had oreos, chocolate sprinkles, and chocolate chips in it! That flavor was definitely for a chocolate lover like myself!

This was a cemetery just down the road from the house we were staying in. I thought it was neat to see how old some of the tombstones were. The oldest one we saw dated back to the 1700's. If you're wondering what that stuff is that's hanging from the trees it's called Spanish moss and it is incredibly gorgeous.

This was a house in St. Mary's that you can tour. The story behind this house was pretty neat. Needless to say this house was the fanciest house they had for a very long time (and may still be), it was built in the 1830's!

This is a peek inside the house that we toured. I just loved all of the fireplaces! Also notice how thick the crown molding is!

The two photos above are from a park that they had near the river.

We stayed in the Rose Lovell house. It was a gorgeous house that was just the perfect size for all of our family to stay and spend quality time! Thanks for showing us a good time Georgia!

I will be back tomorrow talking all about our journey to Savannah, Georgia and wrapping up the rest of our trip!

5 Things I Can't Live Without

Today I am sharing 5 things I cannot live without, Summer Edition!

ONE

My number one item that is a staple for me not only during the summer but year round is coconut oil! Coconut oil has been all the rage in the media lately, and I completely know why. It is so versatile and can be used from things like cooking, to skincare, and also hair care! I like to use coconut oil as my facial cleanser, my moisturizer all over my body, and many other things.

TWO

After ditching my traditional store bought deodorant I bought this all natural deodorant and I love it. I ordered this off Primally Pure a couple of months ago and it works great!

THREE

I love this Argan Oil! I like to use this for my hair when I get out of the shower. Since I let my hair air dry this helps control the frizz which is great because I live in Kentucky and the summers here are so humid! This product is also extremely versatile. You can use this as lotion, moisturizer, and on your hair!

FOUR

This one may sound silly but I love summer fruit! There is just something about fruit in the summer that makes it so yummy. I just feel like it is sweeter when the weather is warm.

FIVE

I can't forget my baseball cap! I wear this thing while I'm lounging around the pool, hiking, or just outside in general.

Let me know what you can't live without this summer!
