New York City {Part 3}

Happy Wednesday, its hump day friends! Today I am sharing my last and final post of our New York City trip.

We took this as we were heading out to breakfast.

This fountain was outside of the underground Apple Store.

We did not plan on going inside the Apple Store but we saw it and thought it looked cool so we went inside to see it.

Here we were in Central Park and they were driving sail boats around the lake. It was so pretty and peaceful to just sit there and watch.

Like I said before I love the trees and the tall city buildings, its just gorgeous.

We were all dressed up and ready for dinner! We were having a fancy steak dinner on the terrace off of our hotel room and we had a spectacular view!

My view from dinner, how gorgeous is that?!

As we were finishing dinner something exciting happened! Blake and I got engaged!! I am so so happy and excited, I love this man.

We took it easy our last few days but they were incredible. I hope you guys enjoyed these posts because I loved looking back on our trip. As always thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day!

New York City {Part 2}

Happy Monday friends! Today I am back sharing more of our trip to New York. You can see part one here!

Look at how gorgeous the new Freedom Tower is. The designers of this building did an impeccable job. We only saw the outside of this building but if the inside of it is anything like the outside it has to be gorgeous. On this day we walked around the financial district and made our way to the Brooklyn Bridge.

The Brooklyn Bridge was built in 1883 and is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the world and it's incredibly gorgeous. If you can't tell I love this city and I think everything there is gorgeous!

 This was the skyline as we were crossing the bridge. The clouds over the city were so pretty!

Blake and I walking across the bridge with the Freedom Tower in the background!

The whole reason we went to Brooklyn was for the highly anticipated Juliana's Pizza! It did not disappoint us. We ordered the Margherita Pizza and it was delicious. There was a bit of a line but we got in there pretty quickly.

Just a little peek at a park we walked through when we got into Brooklyn.

That's all for today, thank you so much for stopping by! Come back Wednesday for my final New York City post!

New York City {Part 1}

This past week Blake and I were off to New York City! Earlier this year we went to New York in the winter but this time around we wanted to experience it while it was warmer.

Everything about this city just captivates me. The atmosphere, all of the huge buildings, the parks, and just walking everywhere. This picture was taken while we were strolling through Central Park.

We also went to the Martin Creed Exhibit called The Back Door. His exhibit runs through August 8th so if you are in the city between now and then I think you should check it out! This exhibit was unlike anything I have ever seen. Some of the things were totally unexpected and fun.

The two pictures above are the same room. On that big screen they would show different pictures and then it would just shut off and the screen would retract and that door would open.

There was a room FULL of balloons that you could walk through. This was so fun! I felt like a kid again.

Just walking down the street and looking up to see the Empire State Building! This building is so gorgeous, especially when it is lit up at night.

We went to Bryant Park that night and I loved this place! We came back to this park every night of our trip, and one night there was a classical concert and it was amazing to just sit and listen too while being in the midst of the city.

I loved the details of this building, the black and gold went perfectly together. This is right across the street from Bryant Park.

Just look at that view, trees and huge buildings! This was the night of the concert at the park.

That is all for today! Thanks for stopping by and come back for more of what we did!

Hey friends!! Sorry I have been a little MIA lately, Blake and I were in New York City last week so I just took that time to not blog. So that means posts all about NYC will be up in the next week or so! We had an amazing trip. Today I am just going to share a few photos from our trip and then fill you in on everything we did in other posts.

Georgia {Part Two}

Today I am sharing the rest of my trip to Georgia!

Today I'm talking all about our day in Savannah! For those of you that don't know Savannah is the oldest city in Georgia dating back to 1733. When we got to Savannah it was extremely hot. So hot that we decided to take a trolley tour so we could still see the city but not get wayyy to hot. Good thing we did because shortly after we got on the trolley it started raining!

The dome on top of this building in Savannah is a replica of the dome on top of Atlanta's capital building.

This was at the city market. There are all kinds of shops with food and candy. There were also benches and tables outside that you can sit at! It is a really cool spot. This brings you to my next picture THE GREAT WALL OF CANDY!

How incredible is that? I was in candy heaven. This was the Savannah Candy Kitchen. I know I did a post of becoming a healthier me but on vacation I tend to splurge. There were so many choices and if any of you know me then you know that I am not the best at making choices! They had ice cream, free praline samples as you walk-in, and they also had taffy being twisted and packaged. Bonus they also took some of the taffy off the machine and would throw it to you!

The Waving Girl is a statue of a woman that for 44 years would wave a handkerchief by day and a lantern by night for all of the ships that came in and out of Savannah.

There are so many things that you can do in Savannah. From ghost tours to trolley rides to just eating good food! If you're wanting to see a city with tons of history and being just plain beautiful then Savannah is the city for you! I hope you enjoyed this trip recap.
I hope to see you back soon!

Georgia {Part One}

It feels great to be back! Today I am talking all about my trip to Georgia! This is part one of two!

P.S. I am still trying to work on the design of the blog, it is just taking longer than expected to work the kinks out!

On our trip to Georgia we stayed in a small town called Saint Mary's. We walked around the quaint town and enjoyed all that it had to offer. They had a really cool little store called "Market on the Square" and it had everything that you could imagine. T-shirts, coffee, gifts, ice cream, etc. My FAVORITE thing had to be the fudge! They had tons of different flavors that it was hard to decide on only one, so I got two (after a few samples!). I got red velvet (who knew there was red velvet fudge? NOT ME but it was amazing), and death by chocolate. The death by chocolate had oreos, chocolate sprinkles, and chocolate chips in it! That flavor was definitely for a chocolate lover like myself!

This was a cemetery just down the road from the house we were staying in. I thought it was neat to see how old some of the tombstones were. The oldest one we saw dated back to the 1700's. If you're wondering what that stuff is that's hanging from the trees it's called Spanish moss and it is incredibly gorgeous.

This was a house in St. Mary's that you can tour. The story behind this house was pretty neat. Needless to say this house was the fanciest house they had for a very long time (and may still be), it was built in the 1830's!

This is a peek inside the house that we toured. I just loved all of the fireplaces! Also notice how thick the crown molding is!

The two photos above are from a park that they had near the river.

 We stayed in the Rose Lovell house. It was a gorgeous house that was just the perfect size for all of our family to stay and spend quality time! Thanks for showing us a good time Georgia!

I will be back tomorrow talking all about our journey to Savannah, Georgia and wrapping up the rest of our trip!

Blake and I have another trip planned to New York City! I could go on for days about how much I love this place but for your sake I won't. If you have ever thought about or wanted to go to NYC I highly recommend it, it's a great city!

A lot of days spent with this sweet guy traveling and exploring nature. Look at blue that sky is in the picture below!

I hope to spend time with my family as well and just to have the best summer yet!

Hiking Adventures

On Saturday Blake and I went to a place called Jackson Falls. We hiked through the woods and walked up on a gorgeous waterfall.

Look at how blue that water is!

As I was hiking through the woods and rock all I could think about was how amazing my Lord and Savior is. Just the beauty of everything in the woods was truly incredible. The way the rocks were shaped and all of the different colors they had on them blew me away.

I loved looking at all of the rocks. The moss on them was gorgeous!

We had a great weekend hiking and being reminded of how beautiful of a world we live in.
