Today I opened my Bible to my book marked page and this is the first verse that I saw that I had previously highlighted. And this verse really resonated with me. We spend so much of our time planning out how we want our life to be or to look like. For example, I will get married at this age, I will get a new car in some number of years, I will have this job, etc. We have our life planned out so much that if those things do not happen we think we have failed, when actually the Lord has our steps planned out for us and they are better than we could ever imagine. Proverbs 16:9 says "In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps." He has a plan for our life and I pray (and I hope you do too!) that you are following His amazing plan! No two plans look the same so do not compare your plan to others.
I felt really moved to share this today and I hope someone got something out of this, I know I needed to be reminded of it. Have a great day!
Hi guys! It has been a while. I have been busy with work and school but today I have a new post for y'all, that I am excited to share. Our mantle has been less than put together. I just kind of put random things that we had around the house so the mantle was a random assortment of things. So I am excited to share with you our new and improved mantle! Keep reading to see the pictures below.
So here is the fireplace after we had already started painting it. The brick was all sorts of different colors and it just brought the feel of the room down. As you can see we decided to paint it white.
Look at the difference the paint makes! The white looks so much better than the brick.
And here is the finished product! I need to add a couple of more things on the landing thing of the fireplace but I feel much better now that we have the mantle put together. All of these items are from Hobby Lobby because they have a ton of sales and all of this happened to be on sale, wahoo!
I hope you enjoyed my mantle makeover because it definitely looks better!
Thanks for stopping by!
